the japanese take on the club sandwich

I thought about it a little more and decided that since it's the weekend and Fathers' Day, to accommodate people like me who post more during the week, we should switch the Block Party from three days to five days! That means it will run until Tuesday, with Wednesday for spillover/roundups/whatever.

. So chootoy and I popped into the kitchen to make these incredible Blueberry Cornmeal Muffins, which (as I have rarely met a corn muffin I didn't like) were utterly delectable. Sweet and berried with some heft from the cornmeal!

. And here's fallingbooks parked in the front, knitting my favourite style of fingerless gloves. I swear I do not own one pair of gloves with fingers on them; these are just so far superior in every way.

As for me, I'm gonna recount my adventures in Strawberry Cones pizza, which as you might remember is a Japanese pizza joint in my neck of the woods. Here's a teaser:



The pizza I got was called Mochimo Smile, which consists of one quadrant each of: Spicy Shrimp, Premium Lobster, Habanero Salsa, and Hokkaido Potato Tuna. ( INTEREST PIQUED?!?!? )
