Yes, JC. YES. In every fucking language that exists on the PLANET, yes. And the Led Zeppelin shirt more than makes up for your ugly, ugly hair.

So the stories for the crossdressing challenge, Boys in their Dresses, is up; I found some of them delightful, some of them hot, and some of them completely uninteresting. Because crossdressing is not one of my bulletproof kinks, and honestly I find it kind of silly if it's not written just right. And for my money, these are the stories that got it just right.

. on the dark side of the bed by jchalo - timbertrick, very early on, and Justin knows exactly what he wants and Chris isn't so sure but there's none of that awful dithering that early!timbertrick so often falls prey to.

. under(his)pants by solafiamma - it's damn hard to write something that's funny but doesn't seem like it's trying too hard, but this story manages. With a fabulous payoff and wonderful Chris-Justin interaction even though it's JuC, which makes it threemanbus, which makes me happy.

. Trick of Light by valour - there were a few stories that had that feel of when I first started reading popslash; stories without barrels of exposition, with interesting and natural dialogue, and with that underlying melancholy that I'm a sucker for. This one does all of those things marvelously, and is a lamb story, to add to the nostalgia!

. In the Pink by fidela - I have two settings for JoeC: fucked-up, or adorable. This one is definitely "adorable", and made me giggle and curl my toes in glee.

. Some Boy You Are by silveryscrape - TrickC with teeth, yo, and whenever Chris and JC are drinking and hot and Chris says sharp things and JC's incoherent with lust, it's a good scene as far as I'm concerned.

. His To Take by escapist_xbq - threemanbus. Let me say that again. THREEMANBUS. And one of them's wearing silk stockings. omgreaditNOWplskthnx.

Y'all should take chootoy's poll. Because I want to see what songs to cover you guys would choose. Also because there's a slew of people who don't seem to like La Timberlake, and hey if you're reading my journal you probably do, so. Heh.

It's been nothing but blissful days of coldness and rain here for the past week or so; I am in heaven. I'm thinking of digging out a toque. You have no idea how happy this makes me.

Also, I hope that one day, somebody issues a challenge that goes like this: Here are a bunch of episodes of Buffy/Angel, along with plot synopses. Choose one and rewrite it into a popslash story; feel free to use dialogue straight from the episode but do NOT use any Whedon characters.

Or this: Here is a deck of Scapini tarot cards, along with information of what each card means. Choose one and rewrite it into a comicfic story; feel free to make it AU if you like but do NOT actually mention anything to do with the tarot.

Alternately, I could just do it myself. Er, write the fics, that is; I am absolute crap at running challenges and stuff like that.
