Dinner with sarahcascade was lovely, and talking comics made me want to read them again. Ahhhh, outback!x-men, how I love you! And also, while bopping around on Buckshot, I came across some interesting info on one of Bobby Drake's ex-girlfriends. Apparently he dated a girl named Cloud, who it turned out was really a gaseous nebula and who could also turn into a boy. And they say Iceman isn't gay. Feh!

And here I struggle with wondering whether or not I should make some sort of comment about negativity in popslash and my responsibility thereof, but really, nobody wants to read that and I don't particularly want to write it, so let's just not. Instead, I'll mention that it's strange how much of the ad-libby riffs I can summon even after not having listened to the Millenium album for a while. I can perform whole AJ-Brian overlapping segments all by mahself! Go me!

Gah, I'm so tired. Work is tumultuous and I feel like writing a letter to Lynn about it, but things being as they are I'm not sure if that would be seen as inflammatory/smug/whatever. So instead I'll just link to Anna and k8, because they (and merryish, in the comments) said things that are worth thinking about. Also, if I never see the word "disingenuous" used in relation to fandom behaviour again, it will be too soon.

On a bright note, I have chocolate Corn Pops. I don't know why the hell these were created, but damn, I'm enjoying them while they're still available. mmmmmmm, poppy.

thinking hurts

Okay. I'm not wanting to extend the unpleasantness, I'm not trying to prove how morally superior I am, I'm not attacking anybody (and fuck -- just how many caveats should I put up front here, anyway?) but the whole big mess with "who has the right to say what" and "who makes who feel what way" has been screwing with me since yesterday. So what's inside here deals with that, come in if you want to, skip happily by if you don't and everything will be fine tomorrow, I promise.
