the i realized: i've become ... a clown. and it sickens me!

After I decided not to watch Supernatural anymore due to my disappointment with the direction it's taken, I SO wanted to watch the new one that I did it anyway. And loved it! This means I must reconsider my resolution and hazard being agitated again. Curse you, adorable Sam Wee!chester.

I did manage to make another year without defaulting on Yuletide or Sesa, which is good. I hope I can maintain the writing high a little longer, just enough to make me more productive over the holidays than I have been recently when it comes to writing. I miss it, but I'm always so tired! Or there's always laundry! Or somesuch mundanity.

Anyhow, I am looking forward to reading all the fics and making my usual blitz of holiday recs. I love doing that, y'all, you have no idea how much.

. falalalala.com: posts mp3s of carols from really outdated groups/albums of yesteryear! This is the audio equivalent of my collection of old community cookbooks, really. The guideline is that he posts songs that are only available on vinyl, not on CD.

. louis armstrong - 'twas the night before christmas: I love Satchmo's voice so, so much, and the reading he gives here is warm and wonderful and perfect. Every time he laughs I have to smile; he sounds the way my dad's side of the family does, chortling over every damn thing, and I love it. Right-click download, my darlings!

well, i *have* been cutting the felt a little crooked ...

I wanted to make some Simpsons icons that aren't joke-based; the show has so many poignant moments -- or at least fantastic animation -- that I thought some of you might fancy as well.

I've broken them down into a few galleries, and will split them up over two posts.
