bossymarmalade: doctor jack going over a cliff (ass over teakettle!)
There's a sequel to Peter Pan out! "I thought it was a very English kind of a book, possibly American, but not Korean and Russian. It's just very exciting," [McCaughrean] told BBC radio. Uh ... what?

The duckiest girl in the world has provided a link to La Timberlake getting slapped in the face with meat. You know you all want to see *that*.

Also, is it any surprise that I totally loved the season premiere of Lost? Especially with all the Dr. Jack stuff going on? I think one of the things I like about Matthew Fox's acting is that he's okay with letting his character make little whining hurt noises, and whimpers, and all manner of "non-manly" reactions to pain and hardship but instead instinctive *human* reactions. I always engage in a show most when characters have sadness-responses that ring true to me. Like, remember when Brian Kinney would be really upset and do this thing where he'd pull his mouth down and tight like he was doing his level best to keep control? Or how when Lorelai Gilmore cries she does it in tight little painful bursts and hardly ever in front of people? That kind of stuff.

Aaaaaaanyhow. As long as they keep Kate & Sawyer together, I think Kate has a chance with me. Her look of distraught shame when Sawyer saw her in that twee little dress was pretty cute. And, um, FISH BISCUIT!! Awwww, Sawyer. He looked so darling with his big hand wrapped around it like it was some kind of *prize*. I was kind of disgusted with how eagerly Kate chomped down on that halibut-flavoured bonemeal, though. Ick.

And then there was CSI:NY, where a girl got stabbed with an icicle in a nightclub designed to look like a frozen cave and cartoony drinks were being poured by half-dressed waitresses. I watched until the credits before deciding that those CSI:NY detectives are fools, because the murderer was *clearly* The Penguin.

I missed Supanatchral, sadly, but it will be rerun at least twice through the weekend so I can watch it on Sunday, drunk, with [livejournal.com profile] glockgal and [livejournal.com profile] silvrsolace here. Which will be of the good. When I was little and we lived in Illinois, we'd gone to Barnum & Bailey and my mother got Lori some sort of stuffed pony or something and she got *me* an inflatable clown. The weebly kind, where if you hit it it won't fall over. Naturally, we were terrified of the thing and our parents removed it from upstairs ... and put it IN THE BASEMENT. It lived down there in the frigging *basement*!! I still get shudders at the thought of it waiting in the dark while we slept.

Which is a long way of saying, maybe I forgot to tape the show last night on purpose.

In conclusion, I hear that Ollie showed up on Smallville the other night. Y'all, was he hot? Can you direct me to pictures?! Did Clark SNEEZE on him?!?! I need to know!
