bossymarmalade: blue eye with lashes of red flower petals (PANCAKE FUCKING KISS!!!)
I picked up an old pad of post-its last night and found an ancient series of story-notes on it, the first of which was "draw a new name every morning for fucking". And that, my friends, pretty much sums up my involvement with popslash. Heh.

So anyhow, what with there now being cellphone tones that adults can't hear and all that kind of stuff, I decided to read this article on kids today growing up in a technology bubble. And I was trying to be empathetic and connect with the reasons they provide for why teenagers seem increasingly socially inept, but then I reached this bit:
He cites as an example a high school senior from an exclusive private school who was an intern at his office and spent a staff meeting text-messaging friends. He didn't intend to be rude, but "he was clearly not tuned in to the fact that our expectations and cultural mores were different. If you grow up in a culture that says it's all about you, it's hard to think it isn't."

Dude, I dunno. Not realizing that you shouldn't be text-messaging during a staff meeting seems less like innocent ignorance and more like sheer dumb stupidity. I mean, *come on now*!

omg, Touched By An Angel is on, and it's an episode about cholos and ganglife. I have no words. At least Doc Hockenbury doesn't have his crappy long 80's hair in this one.
