bossymarmalade: blue eye with lashes of red flower petals (moment of awed lust-filled silence)
a break for Yuletide stories!

patron saints: [crash] - Shifting timeframes, intersecting realities, and very much in the spirit of the film. Great stuff.

we are nowhere, and it's now: [saved] - Post-movie fic, catching up with the characters. The way she writes Mary, in particular, is just fantastic.

a little bit more: [veronica mars] - Veronica, snickerdoodles, Logan. Nowhere near as sweet as it sounds, and that's a good thing.

make the most of never-never: [supernatural] - Even more than the Wincest, I love brotherly interaction stuff and spot-on dialogue and a case thrown in there too. Whoo!

nature: [the facts of life] - OH GOD YES. I don't know what it is about this story...oh, no, wait -- cranky & sharp dark-haired person + vain-but-sweet blond person? That's my default OTP right there, isn't it? Anyway, it's a faboo little story. Yum.

upholding the traditional definition of election: [bruno & boots] - omg, the Canadiana! The funny and warm dialogue! The zany, oh-so-Macdonald Hall plot! I love it!

I hope you're all having a lovely day. Lord knows I am, what with having already had Jamaican patties and traditional hot chocolate (or "chocolate tea", as Trinidadians call it) and now being into the booze. Whoo-hoo!
bossymarmalade: tom waits and a bottle (cold cold ground)
The SeSa continues!

home for christmas: The best part of this story is Lance's boyfriend. ANY TIME he is mentioned. ahahahahaahah!

mother is the name for god: mmmm, au goodness. The characterization is intriguing, the interplay among them and the whole situation, and my favourite part of the Song of Solomon, which is just delicious.

oh, the (daytime) drama!: I would say that I wish I'd written this, but then that would've robbed me of the supreme pleasure of reading it and laughing out loud and loving them all over again so much it makes me giddy. There are not enough superlatives for this story, omg, I love it SO FUCKING MUCH. I want to read it FOREVER. *dies with glee*

everything in his place: Another story that brings the funny and heartwarming and character interaction, and oh, it's such a delight to read. Huzzah!

three words related to darkness: omg! I want to be this Chris when I grow up. A genius Poli Sci major with an award-winning novel and one in the works! Dating JC = optional. *g* The story, however, is fun and fast-paced and I like muchly.

the earl of rothinghamtonfordshire: ok, y'all. This story is primarily BSB. This story is Nick/Chris. AND YET I ADORED IT. That should tell you just how insanely worth reading it is, because REALLY. I was laughing so hard my sister thought there was something wrong with me. OMG!! (Although, I do disagree that one cannot get together with one's ward. Because OMG BATMAN.)

More recs to come as they come. Also, I am getting increasingly drunk; hope this is not affecting the quality & coherence of my recs. Yeeee!!
bossymarmalade: the liquor fairy visits (plenty of wholesome nutritious alcohol)
rough landing: [supernatural] - Sam, and dreaming, and really that's what the whole thing feels like, a half-awake haze. In the best of ways.

the thousand ways to bleed: [supernatural] - Wow. Don't read it if you're feeling delicate, because it's bloody and raw and scary. And by that, I don't mean gore.

'lone: [the stand] - sounds crazy like the book. A nice quiet moment between Stu and Nick, which is always good stuff.

the case of the bollywood beauty: [nancy drew] - AHAHAHAH OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!! Bess is a closet Bollywood junkie and dresses up in a SARI!! This is utter crack and I am amused beyond belief!!

guestright: [hamlet] - Chilling and fascinating, and now I will forever think of Horatio in this light. Did I ever mention that I played Horatio once in Grade 11 Drama class? I had to wear this weird brocade tunic and tights. I looked like one of the Supremes. AHAHAHAHAHAHHA

the grand tour: [little men] - This would've fit seamlessly into the books. Very impressive, and have I ever mentioned how I always wanted to marry Professor Bhaer? No Laurie for me, nossir.

'twas a victory, yes, but it cost us dear: [gone with the wind] - It's written in a very perfunctory and staccato style that I've never been overly fond of but that's oddly compelling and appropriate here.
