Time for SeSa thoughts!! I started from the bottom, because I like to do that.

not based on a true story - meta within meta, and it's wonderfully horribly SO much like fandom. It's a little too self-aware of its own cleverness, but in a way, that's half the fun and completely like fandom too. Oh, the politics!

the letter - did I miss something? Or is that really all there is to this?

stardust - WWII fic is always hit-or-miss for me, but I like the angle that this one takes; more a magnifying glass on civilian life than any grand statement about the war, and the story is more personal and the better for it.

song of the sea - I'm pretty much helpless against well-done, equal-opportunity GSF. And if they're on the open sea and they're pirates as well and each of the boys gets a nice, well-rounded characterization, it quickly becomes something I'll read over and over again, because really.

if you love something, let it go - I understand why people would write songfic, even if it's not often done well. But this particular song? Why?!?!? However, it's worth reading just so you can imagine Lance "singing" his letter. Heh!

dream come true - it's fun when magic gets the boys together! Although for a minute there, I thought Justin was a genie. *g*

sense of snow - I have a weakness for stories that hang on one tiny detail or one seemingly insignificant event, and in this case, it's JC's folder-labeling methods. The "JC's Adorable Kookiness!!" factor is a little bit on the heavy side, but all in all it's sweet and enjoyable.

they say that rock is dead - interpersonal relationship stories are always either great loopy fun or engaging intensity; this one leans towards the latter, and in between the hot sex there's complicated dialogue and even more complex interaction.

the one with the rhyme about butter - this reminds me of a Dorothy Allison story, with that particular cake-batter of mothers and superstition and disappointment and hope. Unusual and thoughtful.

More to come as I work my way through the list; I'm already doing much better than last year, because I *still* haven't read all of the 2003 SeSa stories. I suck!!
