Sometimes I really want to write little backstories to people's fics, or, like companion fics or unofficial fics or whatever you want to call them, just so I can get to play in that universe for a bit. Like, I'd love to do a Chris thing for this world a hunting is, or a Britney thing for Bitters and Blue Ruin or "You're So Square" for the Buddy Holly Series and I'm sure a half-dozen more that I can't think of right now.

And then I wish somebody would do that for some of my fic, like backstory stuff about how Joey gave Lance the scar across his lip and how Justin hooked up with Wade in smuggler, that kind of thing. Because God knows I'm not always sure about all that stuff; sometimes I just do what the characters tell me to and trust that it'll all work out properly.

so, yes. But I'm leery of offending people, because after all, how I see the story isn't how they see it, and, y'know. Complications. But I lead a rich fantasy life, at any rate. *g*

[EDIT] : hmmm...I wonder if I could get people to sign their bodies of work up for this if I made it a challenge. hmmm. this bears further thought.

I'm probably the only one in the world, but JC's extreme Gambitness continues to alarm and startle me. I guess I'm not used to the look yet, but hey, it sends my mind to happy X-Men-related places. I think Jayce could pull off hot pink Kevlar and a bo-staff and trench coat, chere. mmmmmm, Cajun.
