Casting Call
I think it's inevitable that as we read each other's journals we create mental pictures of each other. Post this on your own journal to find out who your friends see when they read about your life.
Two Rules:
1. The person must be in movies/TV (but doesn't have to be an actor/actress). The person can be specific to a role (e.g. Shannen Doherty's 'Brenda Walsh') or just the person themself.
2. You have to post a link to a picture of said person in the comments. *doesn't have to SHOW...just the link if you have no other way*
These castings can be based on things in the person's personality or on physical traits you know they have.
I think EVERYBODY should do this meme. It's just way too much fun. Also, I changed the actor example, because EVERY PART of the original one was misspelled and I've never even heard of that woman anyhow.

Shirley! I relate her to you mainly for the spirit side of things-- I'm thinking of her in Steel Magnolias, mostly-- she says out loud what other people only think, and is fabulously cantankerous. I kinda love that a lot :)
also, the look she's giving here is how I see you in my head as you read LJ most days ;)

Hmmm.
Hedy Lamarr in Samson and Delilah

There's another actress around that period, who was in a movie about a hurricane on an island, she wore a pareo and was just amazingly gorgeous. Dark hair, that seemed about to curl over one eye.
Like that, but with the occasional Catholic Schoolgirl outfit on.

I pretty much think you're the reincarnation Rosalind Russell when she was Auntie Mame. You've got that wild joy at living and a faaaaabulous style all your own. *mwah*

Also, I am so elated that everybody's chosing the glamour starlets. It's really quite telling about what I come across like, and I am *so* happy that it's not, like, one of the Desperate Housewives or something. Although for the record, I would want to be the OCD redheaded one. ahahaha!

Of course!

little Ruthie CamdenMackenzie Rosman. I am so, so sorry.Though honorary mention to Emily Watson in Gosford Park, smoking in the tub, mostly, and even that's cheating because a) it's because of that icon of yours, b) it's because the first time I ever read your lj was when
And, now, if those two mated -
Re: no pix! i sux!
Emily Watson in Gosford Park is even better, though. Because of her, I routinely call people "toffee-nosed and useless"; what a marvelous epithet! Hee!

I mock the rules! MOCK!
It's the fairly standard affair with the hand gestures and the stuck out tongue and bent knee, but she's smiling in that particular painting. The smile is what gets me and reminds me of you. It's in her eyes, it's mocking, knowing and there's some madness in it too, but somehow even the madness of it is calculated.
Now watch me never find the damn book I'd seen it in.
