If you're guessing the movie, you have to write a drabble/ficbit for that movie. ahahahah, no, I'm kidding. But wouldn't that be awesome?

[identity profile] lemniskate.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
ahaha. 15 is Lion King :)

[identity profile] lemniskate.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
and your thing about writing a drabble made me hesitate to answer ;) You are a scary woman!

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
ahahahahah! But dude, you *know* you want to write a Lion King drabble! About Scar, or Zazu, or Ed the hyena! *giggle*

[identity profile] lemniskate.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
ahaha, it's so sad that I know this, but in one of the sequels, Timon (the meerkat) proposes to the hyena voiced by Whoopie Goldberg -- it's a diversionary tactic, but I did think it odd that he knew her full name -- which was one of those with like, six middle names?

... anyways ;) I've always thought that the love of Pumbaa and Timon was really what those movies were all about.

[identity profile] indirajames.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
11 is one of the Indiana Jones movies, isn't it? I should know which one, I watched them 4983957 times when I was a kid.

And 10 is Ghostbusters! Again, I don't know which one. Geez.

[identity profile] cathybites.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:09 pm (UTC)(link)
10. Ghostbusters
11. I'm totally going out on a limb and guessing Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
12. X-2! i <3 magneto.

Also, even though Cathy already got it:

[identity profile] katemonkey.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It was 1945 and the war was over.

Only one man still called him Short Round-- you kind of lost that kind of nickname after you grew a few feet taller and spent just as many years on battlefields in France-- and that man was standing in front of him, a little more weatherbeaten, but still the hero that rescued him all those years ago.

Professor Henry Jones, Jr. took off his fedora, looked at the young man in front of him, and grinned. And he grinned back at him, right up to when he grabbed him for a kiss.

Oh. my GOD!!!

I would never in a million years think of Indy/Short Round fic, but you! You make it not only plausible, but enjoyable and fabulous! HURRAH!!!!

Re: Also, even though Cathy already got it:

[identity profile] katemonkey.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh c'mon — it would so happen! Short Round would grow up and he'd be grateful and it'd just automatically lead to sex.

C'mon!

;)

I like doing these things!

[identity profile] katemonkey.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Blakeney, despite the loss of his arm at a young age, grew up to be one of the finest officers the British Navy had seen.

He wrote a book when he reached 40, upon his travels-- not just the magnificent sea battles that he faced bravely, but also the flora and fauna of the strange and exotic lands he had traveled to.

Aubrey received a copy of the book in the post shortly after publication. There was a handwritten inscription: "To the two men," it stated, "who showed me what could happen."

Maturin enjoyed reading it to him at night.

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
SO SWEET!! Blakeney approves of the big naval love!! Oh, that's utterly enchanting. Thank you SO MUCH for taking me up on the ficlet option, honey; these are far more than I ever expected and so, so marvelous. *mwah*

[identity profile] karabou.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I was just about to answer that! It's such a fantastic movie.

Ris needs to get with the updating. *g*

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
It's so fabulous!!

[identity profile] callsigns.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
THE SALMON MOUSSE! Shouldn't have used canned!
2 = Monty Python's Meaning of Life.

7 = Stepford Wives and 14 = I Know What You Did Last Summer. Yes? Dear god, I can't drabble those!
ext_872: eye with red flower petals as eyelashes (Default)

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
You totally COULD drabble those! I refuse to believe that you can't. Although I know from experience that it's very hard to translate Michael Palin's particular smug look in the salmon mousse routine to words, hee!

[identity profile] ficbyzee.livejournal.com 2005-07-09 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
12 is X2, and I'm certain that someone's guessed it before me. *g*
ext_872: eye with red flower petals as eyelashes (Default)

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
No matter -- any mention of the movie (and by extention, the brilliance that is SIR IAN) in my journal is welcome. *g*

[identity profile] marej.livejournal.com 2005-07-10 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
OMG people beat me to #11. Indie and Temple of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! best movie evah.

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Everytime "I Know What etc. Last Summer" comes on tv, I MUST watch it. Ryan Phillippe + pre-anorexia SMG are the SWEETEST-LOOKING COUPLE EVER OMG

[identity profile] xoverau.livejournal.com 2005-07-10 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Not sure if anyone got it because I couldn't get comments to load, but the knocked-your-hand one is Bad Influence.

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It has been one of the great dreams of my life to own that "zum zum-a zum zum-a zum zumAAAAHHHHHHH!!" song that plays when Spader and Claire are making out outside at that coke-party. True, I could always just buy the soundtrack, but what fun would *that* be? *g*

[identity profile] xoverau.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
That was a great song. You should post about it, I bet you'd have some psycho fan just like us who ripped it off the DVD (is there a DVD? Will not buy the DVD...) and can upload it in a jiff.

I really want to watch that movie now. I have it in the closet, which was exactly where Spader and Lowe were. Mmmhmm. If you get into bed with the devil, sooner or later you gotta fuck.

CRACK. It's crack. It gets right IN there.

I want to write 'cest fic where Spader's character winds up with Pismo and it's still healthier than his past five or six relationships.

[identity profile] crimsonclad.livejournal.com 2005-07-10 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
Damn- I recognize the Italian one. Gah. This will plague me. Look what your meme has done to meeee.
ext_872: eye with red flower petals as eyelashes (Default)

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee hee hee! It's from Gosford Park, and really, I know exactly what you mean because I've felt it on nearly everybody's movie meme. *g*

Indy and X2 have been taken. bah.

#5 Pulp Fiction
ext_872: eye with red flower petals as eyelashes (Default)

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Sadly, it is not Pulp Fiction! Although I really should've snitched a line from there. But most of them are so recognizable. *g*

[identity profile] ciderpress.livejournal.com 2005-07-10 11:02 am (UTC)(link)

Whee! You got them all right. And even Young Sherlock Holmes! Would it be any surprise to you if I mentioned that I was obsessed with the "Watson's hallucination" sequence of that movie? *g*

[identity profile] preciousm.livejournal.com 2005-07-12 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
hmmm the only thing i can think of that could relate to 5 is Pulp Fiction
ext_872: eye with red flower petals as eyelashes (Default)

[identity profile] bossymarmalade.livejournal.com 2005-07-13 09:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, not Pulp Fiction! Although you're the second person to suggest it, so there's probably a line from there that's similar!
