So. This summer I went to a little thing called Dexcon, where I met some folks I'd always wanted to and where my interest in comicfandom was somewhat rekindled.

Which resulted in me writing another Gen X fic. Well, not anything long, or anything particularly actiony, but I have to ease myself back into the fandom, y'know?

Anyhow, here it is, since

wgsarah gave me a prod and squeed over it, and that's all the encouragement I need. It follows A Bit of Naughty in the No Regresas series, in case you're wondering.

It's half done. Seriously. Like, I get them in the same place and everything, but they're just not...doing anything.

However, Monet continually showing up in the latest issues of The Uncanny X-men is making it more and more likely that she'll finally poke me into writing it.

Jesus, Maggie, it's fantastic. It's one of those things that's so full of tension it's beautiful, like Witness, or Flesh and Bone. Just, every nuance and the relationships and the way all the characters are spot on, not just the leads. I love your Jubilee; that's how she really would be if she was real. The observation of Ev is beautiful. Monet is, of course, perfect. The natural, easy friendship of Jono and Ange. Gorgeous.

(Although, and this breaks the run of superlatives, sorry, personally I find the phonetic Jono-speak disrupting, but that's probably just me. I mean, I'm not really complaining, 'cause it's canon, but just so you know.)

Gorgeous job, babe. More! More! Not necessarily in this series, but, well, anything. However you're inspired.

I think I'm going to re-work it so it's not quite so blatant, and probably shamelessly revise all my old stuff, too. I'm not leaving at all! In fact, it was an intense struggle to write the comicfic, even though it's hella short and doesn't say a whole lot.
