...Am I the only person around who finds Janet Jackson kind of...well, gross and is a bit disturbed by the idea of baby!Justin winning a beauty pageant?....

*watches tumbleweed drift by*

Well, all right, then.

I'm cool with Janet, but AMEN on the beauty pageant thing. I was weirded out by it, AND Lynn running on stage.

Beauty pageants are freaky enough when grown-ups are in them, much less when children are in them. *shudder*

She's awful. From the simper to the whispery voice and back again. And she was so coked up when Chris and Justin presented their "That's the Way Love Goes" video--she didn't have a clue what the hell was happening!

I don't like Janet, but what amuses me is that Justin *does* and it's fun, fun, fun for him. It's a grand rumor.

The Beauty Pageant thing is creepy in the way that all children's beauty pageants are creepy, but he was so *cute* modeling and doing the song and SPINNING THE BASKETBALL!!!!

Um. Mostly it's the basketball.

So, yes. And no?

*giggle* I may just change my mind about beautyqueen!Justin when I actually see the footage, so there's that.

It's just--I went to the page that has all the pictures of the previous winners and whatnot, and...no. Little girls tarted up so much that they look eighteen when they're four is just wrong in every way possible. So by the time I reached Timberlake at the bottom of the page, I was in a bad state of mind.

As for Janet...ick. But yeah, it is his dream. I cringed in horror when he declared, "I love that woman" in We Are *nsync, but I can't deny it. The dear boy. He didn't even notice or care that she couldn't lever herself off her scary crackwhore behind to hug him at the Icon thing....

Oh, I am so opposd to those pageants and I couldn't even bring myself to look at the page. [shudder]

And Janet is unpleasant to look at and I know it's wrong, but I get creeped out by anyone in that family, but Justin doing the "she's fiiiiine" schtick at the ICON thing is one of my favorite moments, both Justin and timbertrick. Such a fanboy.

No, you're definitely not the only one. I was quite sickened by the pictures of 3 year olds with better makeup and hair than me and Lynn Harless got some major strikes against her for putting Justin in a pageant.

::shudder::

Those things are horrible. I mean, yeah, okay--it's a nice idea for competitions, because kids enter spelling bees and whatnot all the time, but can't they dress the kids like kids? If it was a bunch of children running around in OshKosh aand not being judged on their "Overall Body Appearances", I might feel more kindly towards kiddie pageants.

Yeah, if it was a talent show or something. I don't have the link anymore, but I think some of the titles over the pictures were like "Most Beautiful Overall" and "Prettiest 2 Year Old". It scares me.
