First boyband?

Well, it was probably the Beatles. But if you want to go with the real sparkly-dancepop-marketing type boyband...then, 2ge+her. Ohhhhh yes. My first boyband was a parody of boybands.

And the reason I started watching the show was because Jerry and QT looked just like how I always imagined Dick Grayson and Tim Drake. ^_^

Also, I've been on a Homicide: Life on the Streets kick lately, watching my old tapes, enjoying pre-incipient-psycho Mikey and post-stroke Frank and the way my tapes are neatly edited to exclude any extraneous appearance of Chris Thormann or Megan Russert. I should really get my pictures of Baltimore from last year developed and give poor

chootoy back the camera she so kindly lent me.

It also occurred to me that while Tim Bayliss looks like Justin's erstwhile cousin, he'd make a great JC character. Sigh. Those damn SDBs can't leave any part of my life untouched, I tells ya.

See, I sort of think Nick might make the better Kellerman, now that you mention him. Because he's arrogant and blond, but there's some degree of insecurity there.

And Brodie is so someone from OTown, possibly Erik or Dan.

But then who would Justin be? Because he must be in it. Maybe he could be Julianna?

But.

I don't think Justin's dark enough to be Julianna, either. I know that I secretly want him to be Meldrick. Does that kind of work? Like, funny, but he can be serious when he needs to and everyone likes him and he kind of has an edge, but it's not deep and dangerous and he's easygoing and all that. Also, all the great Munch/Meldrick conversations as played out between Chris and Justin?

I just think that Kellerman is too dark for Justin and matches better with Nick. Because yeah, Mike's descent into craziness or whatever, was so not my favorite plot point ever, but it did fit his charater in a lot of ways. And Nick. Nick could descend into craziness.

Oh! AJ is Julianna, maybe?

Wade as Falsone works very well for me. Also your initial JC as Bayliss observation is spot on. There thought processes and essential nature seem to match up.

Um. Britney is so Russert. Eh.

Your Thormann-hatred-that-knows-no-bounds cracks me up completely every time. I giggle and feel warm all over. ^_^

As for the SDB recasting of Homicide, I totally agree with the choice of Wade as that loathesome fifth wheel, Falsone. Who should be Seattle Slew, though?

As for the dreaded Thormann himself, how about the briefly appearing and thoroughly bland Jason "Dumbo Ears" Latona? I'm also thinking that Lou Pearlman would make a damn fine Gaffney, and one of the Destiny's Child chicks should be Barnfather. ^_^

Mandy Moore would make a great Ballard. ^_^

I like the Jason-Thormann casting, and the Lou-Gaffney is nothing short of inspired. But I want P.Diddy for Barnfather, because they both have faces that make me mildly nauseous. *g*
