you know that we're meant to be together
So,
chased_amy has been doing this thing where she counts down her favourite pairings and explains why, and I thought the idea looked intriguing. Here's me, being a sheep. Maaaah.
I've got multiples on the same level, because, well...I'm 21 now! So there.
5. Choey/Basez/Teerlove : I just...no. These pairings rarely work for me, mostly because I just don't see any really interesting dynamics going on there. Some writers make them work like nobody's business and I'm always delighted to find one of these pairings enjoyable, but--Choey seems kind of samey, Basez can be too saccharine, and Teerlove is too diva.
4. JoLa/JoeC : Although I love seeing these two pairings, I don't care to read them, too much. Poor Joey. I just don't give him much play. ^_^
3. Timbertone/Trickyfish : Both of these have rather recently crept up on the list, due in no small part to
allen_sama (where the Timbertone's concerned, anyhow) and due entirely to seeing them interact in live situations.
2. TrickC/GSF : I don't know if GSF counts, but dammit, it should! GSF = OTP and all that. Plus, there's a fascinating edge to the TrickC that intrigues me greatly.
1. Timbertrick/Lamblove : The story goes:
glockgal and I go down to Baltimore to stay with
squickgrrl and
glassapple. We are subsequently required to read *nslash and watch Making the Tour, and then we begin asking what the pairings are called. "So what're the two blonde ones called?" I ask. Squick shrugs nonchalantly. "Uh, Lamblove."
Cue Glock and I smacking our hands over our mouths to muffle the high-pitched squeals of utter adoration, and our instant and unwavering love for the lambs.
The Timbertrick took a little while. But it's all
silviakundera's fault. And theyaresoinlove.
So there you have it. Fascinating, eh? ^_~

Late to the Ball

Joey and Chris are SO not the same.
Joey is Hail-Fellow-Well-Met.
Chris is What-the-Hell-Do-You-Want?
Joey is the biggest.
Chris is the littlest.
Joey will charm his way out of trouble.
Chris will snark/intimidate his way out.
Joey's sunshiney.
Chris' dark.
Joey is in his own little version of a committed relationship.
Chris is bitter, and has stated flat out he doesn't believe in true love.
Joey's the go-to man, for calm, for comfort.
Chris NEEDS calming, comforting.
If you have any doubts about my assertions, please see
"Not a Pretty Boy" or any Choey by Rhyss or LucyHale.
Sorry, if I came off abrupt, it's just I've been dying to say that
ever since Dacey said she thought Chris and Joey were too much alike to be an interesting pair, and I was just "What!? But--but--they are not REMOTELY alike, huh?"

But hey, I'll be the first to agree that they're not alike. Not at all! ^_^
