Working steadily away here, which is good, because it makes the day shoot by. I'm loving my job. It's great when the most irksome thing in your morning is that you put milk in your coffee instead of cream. ^_^
viedma! I got the book, hinny! Thanks a ton for it; just reading the back was giving me flashbacks to finding it for the first time lo those many years ago and being confused and intrigued. Can't wait to get into it. Fwee!
Got the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker DVD the other day and watched some of the behind-the-scenes stuff last night. Was completely taken aback by seeing Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman, because he was all skinny and nearly gaunt. The surprise in this stems from my memories of him being from Tour of Duty, wherein he was the big buff Captain Wallace. I didn't even recognize him on the DVD. But hey, people get old. There's my deep thought for the day.
Also, I am sad to hear that Futurama has been cancelled. How can they cancel a show with lines like:
"If rubbing frozen dirt in your crotch is wrong, then hey I don't wanna be right."
Feh.
So, to make myself happy and further a conversation
chootoy and I were having yesterday, here is my Ultimate *nsync Cover Album (meaning the puppies covering other people's music and not the other way around).
It's right behind the .
The puppy who gets lead vocals is parenthesized after the song title. No parentheses mean no preference. An' awaaaaaay we go!
1. Sinatra's "I've Got A Crush on You" (JC)
2. Tom Waits' "Train Song" or "Postcard From a Hooker in Minneapolis" (Justin)
3. Louis Armstrong's "Sunny Side of the Street" (Lance)
4. Bobby Darrin's "Artificial Flowers" (Joey)
5. Bob Dylan's "You Belong to Me" (Chris)
6. Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart"
7. REM's "Everybody Hurts" (JC)
8. Cornershop's "Brimful of Asha" (Chris)
9. Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee" (Justin)
10. Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train to Georgia" (Joey)
11. Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" or "I Walk the Line" (Lance)
12. Guns 'n Roses' "Patience" or "Paradise City" or hell, whatever
13. Tom Petty's "American Girl"
14. Violent Femmes' "Blister in the Sun"
15. U2's "Bad"
16. BSB's "I Want it That Way" (ahhahh! ahahah! I am so clever)
And now my brain is starting to melt, so I'll stop there. Whew.
