He really does! In Cruel Intentions he's hit by a car, in White Squall he drowns, in Playing by Heart he has AIDS, in I Know What You Did Last Summer he's hooked to death....

And in most of the others, he has near-fatal experiences. Except, um, Nowhere. And I haven't seen Gosford Park yet, so I dunno about that. ^_^
