grammy thoughts

-- India.Arie is so superior to Alicia Keyes. I dunno about the rest of you, but Ms. Keyes' constant look of smug superiority really gets on my nerves. Especially when she can't even open her eyes properly because they're encrusted with glitter. She always looks like she's totally SO deserving of all the admiration. [livejournal.com profile] glockgal and I spent the whole evening going, "But yes," in the snottiest tone whenever they showed her. It works like a charm. Try it yourself.

-- That poor Dixie Chick and her unfortunate choice of muumuu! Why didn't the other two tell her anything?

-- Pamela Anderson. Scares me so bad. That's all.

-- That thing with Stevie Wonder and Celine and Gloria was...eiweee. I didn't need that.

-- The puppies were great, and Nelly too, but I could've done without all the extraneous dancers, dammit.

-- U2 rocks. Even with Bono being all dumb and talking over the "getoff" music while Larry and Adam confer in embarassment behind him. But the slashiness between Bono and Edge is disturbing, yo.

All in all, I'm pissed that I stayed up so late for so much nothing. They barely even showed the pups at all!

india arie has some nice mellowy music, but her sound's so different from alicia keyes's that comparison isn't really justified, imo.

also: arrogance on the part of alicia? IS really justified.
