there's no emoticon for what i'm feeling!!
I am on the verge of making a rage-filled post about the correlation between sitcoms and sexualized violence against women, but desperately holding back because I am SO not emotionally hardy enough for that right now and mostly feeling white-hot anger instead of logic.
So instead, I will do an icon meme! And to soothe myself further, I will do every sixth icon instead of every tenth, because that's how many can fit in a browser window while I'm looking at them.

that's when i have to lie down
Spaaaaaaaace Ghooooooost!!
cathybites made this for me; it is one in a set, with Cathy=Zorak and Lori=Moltar. It gets a lot of use when I'm saying something loud and inane.

it is happening again
Special Agent Dale Cooper, whom I love and adore. I really don't use this icon as often as I should.

you get a contact high
smartlikejustin made this; it's a crop of a Ganesh t-shirt that La Timberlake used to wear during the NSA days. Much like when *nsync was on the Simpsons, I like it when my interests collide.

this our native land
When I lived in Trinidad, our house was right in front of a canefield because we lived in a sugar town -- back in the days when sugar was actually made from cane, and not from beets like it is now. I miss that smell, and the sound of the cane blades in the wind, and walking into the field to strip a cane to suck on when it was hot. The keywords are from the Trinidad national anthem.

stardust baby
cathybites again! The keywords should really have a comma between them to give it that Rat Pack feel, but lj doesn't allow commas in your keywords. I use it when I feel swank.

no stranger to the land of scoff
Arnold Rimmer, from Red Dwarf. I have an alarming amount in common with him. This icon is when I'm feeling particularly stroppy or saying something tart.

what a glorious feeling
This is a cap of the "Babbit and the Bromide" routine that Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire did together. When I was a teenager I was obsessed with musicals, and watched most of the Kelly and Astaire movies; seeing them together and their very different dancing styles side-by-side was awesome. *starstruck*

a-hoy hoy
Mr. Burns, obviously. This icon is very multipurpose, but I tend to use it when I'm popping in to a comment thread on a random note.

caribs and arawaks
The keywords are the two indigenous tribes that were native to Trinidad; nowadays Carib is a brand of beer and Arawak is a chicken processing company. This icon is a crop from a photo of a Carib advertisement painted on a wall.

self-indulgence -- to the maaaax
The quote on the icon was something
throughadoor said in the good ol', bad ol' days when it was the JC Psychos vs the Justin Apologists; I still use it sometimes, although more often I use it ironically when people are being thoughtless asshats. Is that better or worse? I can't even tell. Anyway, the keywords reference a Simpsons ep (of course) where products were supposedly cooler and more extreme because everything ended with "to the MAAAX!!"

i forget things (momma! momma!)
The keywords are a Homer line that I just didn't change when I swapped out icons, but that's okay because it suits the inappropriate publicness of the lynncest. They forget they shouldn't act like that in front of people!! Hey, does anybody still call it 'justlynn' anymore?

my hair is fandom's lifeline
Because no matter what, we can always come back to impassioned discussions of JC's hairstyles. ahahahah! Also, I have HAD hair like that.

mrs and mr percell
Okay, so I caught a few Tour of Duty reruns on tv a while ago and got all nostalgic for the series. Leave me alone!!

why you shouldn't teach lessons
Cathy swooped in over the holidays and learned us the joy of Arrested Development. And since I am a sucker for siblings, I have a Michael and Lindsay icon. I especially use it when I'm arguing with Lori, if we're not using the Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert icons. *g*

i'm a muse (stupid)!separating horny retards from their cash since '99
Salma Hayek, whom I love and adore like crazy. The keywords are a quote from (and subsequent reference to) her character in Dogma, so if I use it when I'm talking to you, please don't think I'm hinting you're stupid!!

the assistants club: non-dairy boy
From Cathy yet again, b/c she as Amanda is my fellow member of The Assistants' Club. Also, I am mildly lactose-intolerant, so hey. *g*

this is my happening (and it freaks me out!)
FINALLY I was able to make a decent Beyond the Valley of the Dolls icon!! This is the main character, Kelly McNamara. And here is a picture of Dolly Read half-naked, complete with horrifyingly freakish sculpture contorting behind her:

chocolate tea or coffee tea
I cropped a drawble that
glockgal made, for multipurpose nonfannish commenting. The keywords ... well, sometimes when Trinidadians offer you tea, they go on to ask if you want coffee tea, chocolate tea, etc. Everything hot is tea!

ah'm allergic to no-necked monsters
by
anesthezea. When I was new to online stuff, I needed to come up with a screenname in a hurry, and I was in a phase of being obsessed with Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the time. Since then I've come to regret that hasty decision, but there's nothing I can do about it now. I really am not fond of no-necked monsters, though.
I also made minor updates on the multifandom website, because wow -- I totally forgot I'd ever written some of that stuff! Good Lord.
