So I'm reading Synchronik's new baby!Sync, Secret, and of course it's brilliant, but then I come across this line:

Sometime during his story of Molly, the best Irish Setter in the World, Lance happened to glance over at Chris and noticed he was asleep.

And I go into a mad squeeing frenzy, because, Homicide! And Tim's Irish Setter, Molly! And waaaaaahhh!!!!

*pant pant*

Okay, I'm good now. Only a few of you H:LotS freaks like me will get that, anyhoo (kezzyee, chootoy, I'm lookin' at you). ^_~

Squee!!! I read the story just a little while before I saw your entry and when I got to the part about Lance's childhood dog being Molly the Irish Setter, I squeeed, too! ^_^

I thought for an instant of emailing Synchronik about yay! how that was Tim Bayliss' dog as a kid, too -- you know, Tim Bayliss from Homicide: Life on the Street, but then the instant passed and I got a hold of myself and realised that he prolly wouldn't get it and he'd think I'm an idiot. :-|
