So the gay marriage debate rages onward -- for us Canadians too, if Bush-Lite Harper has anything to do with it. Therefore, here are a couple of links of interest:

I thought the other Tory party members already said forget it, no dice? Now I'm confused, perhaps because I'm distracted by watching the American Senate genuflect to the (by the latest Gallup poll) one percent of the public for whom keeping them fags illegit is their top priority. As I understand it, part of Harper's election platform had to do with some kind of bullshit about how the same-sex marriage laws had passed via an 'unfair vote' and he wants to do it again b/c he's certain the Canadian public wasn't sure about it the first time. Logically this shouldn't amount to anything what with the huge NDP representation on the Hill, but dammit I thought that Harper winning was far-fetched and look what happened.
