And especially thank you to the schneakymarej, with her guerilla package of books. You are eighteen volumes of love scrunched into a three-pound compilation that hurts when you throw it at people, sweetheart. *g*
After having spent the last few days alternating between massive amounts of cooking and massive amounts of writing for SeSa and Yuletide, I am now ready to wind down. Unfortunately, I have MORE cooking to do today, but at least I got my grades for this past term which I am now going to subject you to because hey, you put up with me whining about school for months so you might as well know how it all turned out:
ANTH 1120 (Intro to Cultural Anthropology) A
POLI 1145 (Peace & Conflict in Mod Wrld) A+
RELS 1120 (Religions of the East) B+
SOCI 1120 (Introduction to Sociology I) B
WMST 1216 (Further Perspectives on Women) A
Hooray! Thank you all for keeping me sane, providing an outlet, and being fabulous and entertaining and witty 24/7. *g*
In other news:
. watched "Alexander" over the course of the past two nights. Two nights because it was SO AWFUL that Lori and I couldn't face it all in one evening. What the hell was the *point* of that movie? Alexander's motivations made NO SENSE! Colin Farrell looked HIDEOUS with fluffy blond hair! Jared Leto's character was my *favourite*, WTF?!?! That DVD couldn't be out of the house fast enough.
.chootoy and I tried to make sponge toffee, but between the both of us we could not manage the simple task of reading the smegging recipe before doing stuff, so we added the baking soda BEFORE we boiled the candy. Resulting in sweet-tasting superglue. Typical. *g*
.lance_nerd is a bad dinner companion because she makes you laugh so hard and so constantly that you barely have time to eat and then your stomach hurts. ahahahahaah!
.xterm gave me an early birthday present, namely some of her art. I think this is the first time I've owned a canvas by anybody and it is SO AWESOME.
And now, after the week-long dance of "why is the sesa deadline coming up SO FAST?!?!", I will now begin the jig of "why won't my birthday get here already so I can GLUT MYSELF ON FIC!?!?" Whoo-hoo!
