cimarosa linked to this, which apart from the OC special is about the best thing I've seen all day. And it ties in neatly to a live version of "One" that I downloaded on Ares where Bono, I swear to God, goes on a fifteen-minute squee on how much he loves Bill Clinton. And we all know that I would happily follow the Bono off a cliff, because I mean good lord I not only bought the Pop album, I enjoyed that business.

Also of amusement value is Snape and Malfoy: The Comic because I love when people's adoration of their fandoms takes the shape of a good affectionately mocking poke at said fandom. Which reminds me, I was watching Family Guy earlier and it was that one where Peter finds out he's got a black ancestor? And Stewie's trying to infiltrate the high school cheerleaders and makes a note-to-self that he has yet to find out what their secret to "mind control" power is or to make head or tails of their "obsession with the homosexual members of *nsync." No, wait, what was my point? Oh, well, whatever.

Er, this may or may not be one of the lj-patented inebriation posts. Which is to say, I ain't drunk, but I'm not unhappy either. *g*

I remember listening to Rockline, a radio interview show, one night during the Bush vs. Clinton campaigns. U2 was on, and Clinton called in from the Little Rock airport (I lived in Arkansas at the time). They were so impressed when he actually had a favorite U2 album to name. It was cute.

The first time I listened to Pop I was all, "wtf?" but then it *grew* on me and now I love it. We probably like the album more than, say, *Larry* does, yo. Heh!

It grew on me too. I don't know if it was the mood I was in at the time, but there are songs on there that I really, really liked and really fit the mood of the fanfic I was writing. I think that's why I like it so much. It reminds me of happy times and fun.

I don't know how I feel about the new song yet. I heard it yesterday. Eh...I guess I should give it a few more tries before I pan it. ;-)
