kill the dorks! bash their butts!
So some things happened this weekend that mean that I can no longer:
1) say that I've never tried ecstacy
2) call Cold Mountain "My Favourite Movie I've Never Seen".
Is Hamish/Frank/Menelaus gonna be in *every* movie that comes out in the next little while? Just wondering.
During the drug experience, I watched Battle Royale, starring my new Japanese boyfriend Takeshi Kitano. My problem with Lord of the Flies was that I never quite *believed* that kids could go so savage so fast, but this one? I believed. Whoo indeed. If you like the Kill Bill movies, see if you can track down Battle Royale and take a look at what Tarantino was aiming for.
In slightly movie-related news, I was at the video store yesterday with
silvrsolace; I was standing in line waiting for the cashier to check our movie out, and this yellow-headed kid stood next to me and leaned up against me like I was his big sister or something. Which was odd in itself, but odder still for me because children smell my fear of them and stay away. But his tousled little curly head was soft and warm, and he didn't steal my wallet, so, yes. Unexpectedly nice, if strange.

I had a pill out of a batch that had been sampled already, so the sudden-death scare wasn't too big a concern. *g*

I'd always heard that the sudden-death thing was less to do with the formula of the pill and more to do with how the individual reacted to it, like the sudden deaths with crack or cocaine.

Ah, yes -- now I remember my friend telling me that it fucks up your seratonin levels or something and can affect your spinal fluid, or something like that. Really, I'm in no hurry to try it again; it was interesting, but disturbing as well. There wasn't any of the feeling of general happiness and mellowness that I feel with pot, man. I think the Cha-zaaay had the right idea saying that he doesn't do chemicals. Heh.

I love Battle Royale. It is one of my faaaavoritest movies ever.
But avoid the sequel. Ugh.

YES. And this pleases me greatly because he looks like my daddy. I was surprised that he was in The Village, but then again, I was surprised by everyone who was in that movie and not Joaquin Phoenix.
And ever since Joie told me that the line 'You ain't never gon' get Cold Mountain!' isn't actually in the movie, I've lost all desire to see it, no matter how pretty Jude Law is.

A guy like me could go gay real quick down there in Middle Earth, eh?
