i need plenty of wholesome, nutritious alcohol

I'm restless and ootchy today, so I'd like to do a meme!

Please recommend to me your favourite fic:
1. based on a movie
2. based on a book
3. based on a musical artist, song, or album
4. that involves a "taboo" subject
5. that involves food
6. that involves interesting html/layout content

You don't have to do all six, of course, but feel free to do more than one if you like -- and please tell me why it's your favourite. I like my recs with a little bit of loving squee, I do. *g*

Now YOU have areally cool meme!

1. based on a movie

Reunion (http://www.geocities.com/coffeeslash/bone/) by Bone from the movie Get Real... love this because it revisists the characters 10years later and we get to see who has moved on and who hasn't and it makes me happy.

6. that involves interesting html/layout content

Scrabble (http://www.trickster.org/speranza/) by Speranza... dueSouth, the fandom that never ever lets me go. This was hard to read at first, but once I got used to the format it was really cool and I was fancinated at being able to see both sides of the situations. I love stories that let me do that.

That's all ican do from work... but i'll come back and do there rest!

ooooh, Get Real fic! That's so cool, and just, yes. I always did wonder if Dixon just tried to put the whole thing behind him, and how successful he'd be at that. And now I want to go watch the movie again. *g*

And dude -- Scrabble is pretty intense. It's probably gonna take me a while to get through, but I'm fascinated and it really is cool to see both versions of the story side-by-side.

Thank you for the recs, they're marvellous! I look forward to the rest. *g*

1. Confidence Men, Ocean's Eleven, Rusty/Danny and you've probably read it since it was so recced this year as part of Yuletide, but man. My favourite story in pretty much any fandom.

Fortune and Favour, PotC (the ship version, not the cross version), sweet and entertaining.

The Night Season, LotR, gorgeous, taut prose.

2. Living Arrangements, Good Omens, and this story is the reason why I read the book. I still prefer Afrai's prose to that of Gaiman and Pratchett. It has more heart.

3.Number Come Up, 50 Cent/Eminem wingfic. I rec this because you read VORACIOUSLY and so all of my popslash recs are probably from you in the first place. I like this story a lot, I have my issues with dense style, but I think it's gorgeous and lyrical, and quite human.

4. Summer Thing, HP Hermione/Fred/George for the most enjoyable incest I've read in a long time.

Libertine's Harry Potter Slash, Lib is fantastically talented writer who deals with the sublime and the ridiculous. Try Harry Potter and the Internet, it's absolutely hysterical, and full of taboos from necrophilia to dog-fucking to genital wars, all lampooned fearlessly.

5. Bicardi and Kris, Nelly/Justin because I love Nelly eating breakfast, and I LOVE the pairing name of Jelly.

6. Witness Triptych, SV and intriguing for its differing point of views.

Oh, hurrah! What a gorgeous and varied list -- I can't wait to start reading these, and thank you so much for so many recs and for the accompanying blurbs, because those are making me want to abandon work for the rest of the day and just read and feedback to my heart's content. *g*

Thank you so much, honey! *mwah*

well, i'll have to think about the rest, but for that involves interesting html/layout content, i love jae's one, two, three (http://www.waxjism.org/jaesepha/onetwothree.html), because, god, there's so many reasons! i don't even know where to start... because you can read this, and read it again, and still you maybe haven't read it all, you know?

That's totally it. And although I have read it before, your rec makes me want to read it again. That'w why I like when people gush over their recs. *g* Thank you, sugar!
