Have scrapped my remix yet AGAIN and started a new one. I hope the person remixing my fic isn't having this much trouble. Then again, considering the person who originally got me last time DROPPED OUT and stuck poor
cathybites with remixing mine, I just hope they're still playing. *g*
And y'all know how I feel about memes, so I will return the favour and cut away for this one. It's so cool, I had to do it! From

1. Your favorite song with the name of a city in the title or text. "Postcard From a Hooker in Minneapolis" by Tom Waits
2. A song you've listened to repeatedly when you were depressed at some point in your life. "Roads" by Portishead
3. Ever bought an entire album just for one song and winded up disliking everything but that song? Gimme that song. "Turn the Lights On" by Big Sugar
4. A song whose lyrics you thought you knew in the past, but about which you later learned you were incorrect. "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison. (for the record, I thought the lyric was "goin' down on the old man with a transistor radio." uh, yeah.)
5. Your least favorite song on one of your favorite albums of all time. "Killer MC Interlude" on Wyclef Jean's The Carnival
6. A song you like by someone you find physically unattractive or otherwise repellent. "Ignition (remix)" by R. Kelly
7. Your favorite song that has expletives in it that's not by Liz Phair. Well, I'll go for quantity of expletives, since there are a few possible answers -- "A to the K" by Cypress Hill. (also, "not by Liz Phair"? wtf?)
8. A song that sounds as if it's by someone British but isn't. "The Night Pat Murphy Died" by Great Big Sea (they sound more Irish than British, really, but whatever)
9. A song you like (possibly from your past) that took you forever to finally locate a copy of. "This Street, That Man, This Life" by Cowboy Junkies. Vali gave me a copy on a H:LotS compilation tape, but I eventually wanted an .mp3 and it too forever to find.
10. A song that reminds you of spring but doesn't mention spring at all. "Ballad of John and Yoko" by the Beatles
11. A song that sounds to you like being happy feels. "It's All Been Done" by Barenaked Ladies
12. Your favorite song from a non-soundtrack compilation album. "It's Your Thing" by The Isley Brothers, off R&B: Doo-Wop to Hip-Hop. It's a two-disc compilation, so I'll choose "Jump Jump" by Kriss Kross for my other selection. Hee!
13. A song from your past that would be considered politically incorrect now (and possibly was then). "When It's Sleepytime Down South" by Louis Armstrong.
14. A song sung by an overweight person. uhhhh...can I choose a song by Missy Elliot before she lost weight? Or can I choose a song by Aretha before she put on weight? This question confuses me, so I'll just say "Baby on Board" by the B-Sharps. Most of them are overweight, right? Skinner's the only one who isn't.
15. A song you actually like by an artist you otherwise hate. "Going Under" by Evanescence. I feel all dirty.
16. A song by a band (whose members actually play instruments) that features three or more female members. "Birthday Cake" by Cibo Matto
17. One of the earliest songs that you can remember listening to. "The Lonely Goatherd" from The Sound of Music
18. A song you've been mocked by friends for liking. It varies from person to person. My sister mocks me for listening to the *nsync Christmas album.
19. A really good cover version you think no one else has heard. Well, except for
katemonkey, because she's the one I got it from -- Hanson, singing Xtina's "Dirrty". So very good.
20. A song that has helped cheer you up (or empowered you somehow) after a breakup or otherwise difficult situation. "Bad" by U2
21. A song you've listened to while fucking/masturbating. Lord, I can't think of one.
22. A song not in English -- preferably a foreign-language version of an English-language hit. Apart from *nsync's "Yo Te Voy Amar", of course, I really like "Cancion del Mariachi" from the Desperado soundtrack.
Whoo! That was fun!

aahahhahahah! I read that question and was like, what the hell? Liz Phair? She's seriously the top of the cussing totem pole? Unbelievable!
I love the Lonely Goatherd song. My sister and I used to sing it on car-rides. *g*
