I know I'm being spammy today. I'm that strange state of having work to do, but also being intensely bored.

In any case, I was so bored I actually ventured onto friendsfriends and found something in liviapenn's journal -- a link to svmadelyn and her idea of Coming Out of the WIP Closet Day. Which I think sounds like a fabulous idea. I have some WsIP that I'm slowly and itchingly working on, but there's this one...I'm halfway in love with it, and I halfway want to burn it up into ashes. Maybe I'll post that one.

Anyhow, it's Friday, if any of you are interested. And I hope a whole bunch of you are.

I have about 468931643 of these. It's still a frightening proposition though. Because I tend to get very attached to my ideas and not want to give up on them. And also I write about 80% of anything on paper so I have to transfer all my hapless fics to computer in order to post them which seems like too much effort just for something incomplete.

And yet, I really, really want to do this.

You crazy people who write your stuff out longhand confuse and terrify me. I think I've forgotten how to write anything lengthy out by hand.

You should still take part in the WIP posting, though. I'd love to see your stuff.

I don't purposely write everything out longhand, I'm just writing all day long and my notebook is with me no matter what. I get inspired in the strangest of places.

Only typing on the computer baffles me more. Do you people not have random lines, dialogue snippets, and imagery appearing in your mind all the time? I have to write them down. It's not even a choice.

I'm still considering doing it. I might post one or two anyway.

I hope lotsa people do it. I figure it's an easy way to get enough feedback and ideas that it might kickstart us continuing the stories, which is good.
