Fannish things, before I dive back into ficlets:

- krissita reports that Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are all set to star in a film about gay cowboys. All I can say is...um, yes? Please?!?

- According to IGN FilmForce, the news on the new Batman movie is that Laurence Fishburne is being approached to play Lucius Fox. And Katie Holmes is the film's requisite love interest. Good or bad, I can't wait for this damn film.

- Because I don't follow their solo careers with any real devotion, ciderpress had to inform me that there exist pictures of Justin pulling a pint of Guinness. I...wow. That's so fucking hot, as are the sleeves on his hoodie (waaaaaaaant!!). The progression of the pictures amuses me; he goes from concentrating reeeeal hard to looking like he's had one too many. Oh yes indeed.

Dude, I hope your tolerance for angst is pretty high, because "Brokeback Mountain" is one bleak, tragic story. I had to read it for a grad class once and oy with the ouchiness.

ohhhhhhh. Well, I am pretty good with dealing with angst -- my quest to see as many films as I can with pretty boys kissing has learned me to have a high tolerance for it. For the movies being gay, they're sure sad a lot of the time.

Urgh. The Scarecrow isn't meant to be the main villain, I know, but...well, Ra's al Ghul seems a little advanced for the baby-Bat to start out with, doesn't he? Who knows, maybe they'll pull it off. I really shouldn't have such high hopes for this movie, after all the other disappointments, but part of me keeps going "Christian Bale! He takes interesting roles! It HAS to be good!" *g*

We shall see...although not for a while.

Christian Bale takes really interesting roles. And it's good casting, it is. And Christopher Nolan directed Momento, which even if you disliked it, it was *interesting* and *different*. And Michael Caine's ability to pick films seems to be getting better. And and and and.

And mostly I have this feeling that this might actually be a good movie and I'd just like to be right for once about this kind of thing. I know nothing about the villians involved, but still. Hopes!
