quit talking about that, it's boring. you're boring everyone!
So since I have the first and second seasons of Homicide on DVD, I was going to offer my tapes to anybody who wanted them. Then I realized that my tapes have Thormann and any character I found tedious ruthlessly excised from them, and they would be of no use to anybody but me.
Then I decided to watch Bayliss have so-called sex in a cuffoon with she-who-voices Amy Wong on Futurama then hold up a liquor store for eleven cents. And that made me happy, so I stupidly watched Crosetti and naturally bawled when Frank stood honour guard, because, well -- I have a weakness for characters who seem hard-ass and callous, but who are really kind and affectionate on their own terms.
That silly man, and his silly cookies.

If you wanted the first couple of seasons on tape,

I know I've said this before, but I'm thankful for your editing skills each and every time I watch the *nsync footage you gave me. I just feel so *safe* knowing that anything annoying or painful will soon disappear. Disturbing fan: "you mean so much to me i want to stuff my pillow with chris's hair can i just come up there and hug chris and get some of it? pleeee--" CUT! Feels like a miracle every last damn time. *g*

Sigh. Bayliss. Want to hold him tight.

for that price (a hundred bucks list price, i believe) they really should offer some kind of feature. nevertheless, i will of course buy it like a bitch.
I would love Thormannless tapes, except that also excises other characters! dammit! we need some sort of advanced computerized dethormanizer.

eeeeeeee! That's the coolest thing I've ever heard, aside from when Beth determined that people who hated him should be called the "Thormabominators." Heh!
And, I am gonna buy it like a bitch, too. Waaaah!

...okay, funny only to me. He'd make a good mecha though. Thormann, five hundred feet tall and composed of pure titanium, rampaging through Tokyo!!!!
there's possibly a whole lack-of-sleep thing going on over here.

Whoa, I'd better calm down. I'm getting carried away. *g*

Why am I so not surprised that you edited out Officer Thorm... [stopping there so you don't delete the entry for mentioning his name]?
So if this is Season 1 and Season 2, does Homicide: The Phantom Edit stop with the conclusion of Season 5 or Season 6? Expurgated highlights include: Falsone eating a peach. Falsone biting the top off an aspirin bottle. The words "Howard transferred to Fugitive" not appearing in any sequence. Ballard. Billie Lou... oh, we could go on.

Homicide: The Phantom Edit
aaahahah! No, my mad editing skillz continue right down to the end. As the seasons wear on, the episodes get shorter and shorter because there's all that Russert and Gharty & Ballard and Gee Jr. to cut out. In fact, if I were going to record The Movie again, it would probably be pared down to the running time of an ep, what with all the Gee Jr. cavorting that goes on!

As someone who came late to the game (ie post-stroke) these DVDs are turning the light on for me...they edited out a lot of important, albeit subtle stuff...woo hoo for DVDs, even the ones that cost $100.

Haha, I do that all the time. I did it with XF, and eventually ended up with all Mulder. Even poor Scully got the axe.
Bayliss and the sex coffin, Bayliss holding up a liquor store. Oh, man, I loved him so. I physically ache when I think of early Homicide, and how I loved the show with all my being. Ow ow.
