wait, did she just say she used to be a *dude*...?
So, my computer conked out on the weekend. Like, total shutdown, it won't recognize any hard drives or anything. Le sigh.
I'm not freaking out hugely because I could tell the thing was dying and backed up all the important stuff, and I have 'net access at work which is most of the day, but I'm not looking forward to having to buy a new one. Unexpected expenses suck.
Anyhow, I've been playing with the Gender Genie; apparently, this algorithm based on your possessive pronoun usage and whatnot can analyze a strip of your writing and figure out whether you're male or female. I entered a couple snippets of my journal babblage and was identified as female; then I put in a couple bits of JC dialogue and was identified as male. This pleases me in only the dorkiest of ways.
And so because I need to think happy thoughts and look at pretty things, here's today's

There ain't nothing better than this, girls and boys!

Britney laughs because she knows Justin wants enough children to have his own basketball team! And she doesn't have to bear them! It's all so beautiful!

That putting one's dialogue into the gender thing is fucking *slaying* me; they're all GIRLS! GIRLS! Every last damn one of them, even when I think I'm writing Jup all butch! *tears at hair*
As for la photo, it's just the cutest thing ever.
Re:
Don't take the Gender Genie too seriously, sugarpea -- most of my Chris dialogue is girly, and my Justin's half-and-half. JC has the best track record for "male" dialogue! hah!
The photo is so adorable -- I love the way Chris and Justin interact, and with Britney thrown in the mix it's a whole new perplexing and engaging threesome. mmmmmm, poppstars.
Plus: Am listening to Bringing Down the Horse. Amd thinking of you. *snug*

remember you can always come over and monopolize my computere when you need!
Beth's leasing idea is a good option, but take heart to the fact that you can get a good computer for relatively decent prices. I know, with the car this expensive is a bitch!
Okay, so the gender thing...my Lj crap is female, my sirius fic writing style is apparently male but my harry is apparently female, and my pop-slash drabbles are male. I love this thing!!! It rocks!

It would please me, too. It says I'm female, which I already knew, so it's okay.
