So last night, chootoy acquiesced to my wishes and we went to see Spellbound. Guys, if this thing's playing anywhere near you, go see it. The entire theatre was choking with laughter, and the kids are adorable and funny and fuck, can they ever spell! I didn't know half those words existed.

Then later, I watched B. Monkey on the Independent Film Channel, and let me tell you -- if a film has Rupert Everett and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in it, and their characters are lovers, and that film then proceeds to ignore the potential hot pretty boytouching in favour of the heroine fucking her ugly (he was much prettier as Russel in my beloved Igby) boyfriend, said film will not a happy Maggie make. Because! Rupert and Jonathan! Dear God!!

That is my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE interpretation ever! Because they so *are*, with Lance's delicate little hands framing Chris just so, and JC looking like there's nothing better in the world to win than a cross-bearing Fatone! This was a good era for them. In this pic, if Justin looked less like Marth Stewart, that would be great. Fashion-wise, I'm really hating Justin's white shirt, but I like the rest on everybody. I'm even sort of fond of Chris's hyper-bedazzling.

The hyper-bedazzling works on Chris. Is it because the motif is echoed in his silver-bead ball-bearing necklace and beady little eyes? One can only assume.

I had this comped pass to a sneak preview of Spellbound, but then caught the wrong bus and ended up twenty minutes late. The theater was full and they wouldn't let me in. It was a sad, sad day. I wish you had said that it was boring and a waste of time! arergahdfasd. Now I'm going to have to see it and pay.

One fashion scary...what is with that shirt of Justin's I could swear I've seen it on Rose from the golden girls with either one of those jersey cotton skirts with a belt around said shirt, or with those elastic band 'slacks' so popular in the 80s...*sigh*
