bossymarmalade: blue eye with lashes of red flower petals (jc)

to-do

-- I will finish my Definitive Wonder fic today if it kills me. I'm enjoying it, but it's hella fractious.

-- I will buy some black hairdye for repairing my haircoloring experiment gone awry. I need red streaks, dammit! Not auburn, not copper--RED!

-- I will rent and watch Die Hard, because I've never seen it and need to for a new project. I'm not sure if this admission is shameful, or a source of pride.

-- I will remember what should be the adage of fandom: Don't Join if You Can't Take a Joke.

-- I will not talk about Fight Club--oh no, wait....

Die Hard is a very cool movie, and not just because Alan Rickman steals the show. But, you know, Alan Rickman. Hard to say no to him.

My fandom adage has been changed to "Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke," but I fear that's just bitterness talking. I revel in it.

There's something to be said for bitterness, yo.

And, yes! Alan Rickman. I'm kind of looking forward to it. *g*

Hee! He's just so suave and sophisticated and a whole lotta other 's' words I can't remember right now. And he's the one who gave me my 'men in suits' kink.

Hubba-hubba. :)

The first rule of fight club is...

Have you tried buying Manic Panic Vampire Red hair dye? It's RED, yo.

And um... have you joined the list??

I have joined the list. Well, the new place (http://www.blurty.com/users/fandom_wank/), anyhoo. We'll see how it goes. This is dangerously close to entering the realm of the ridiculous, man.

And, oooh! Any suggestions on where I could find this Manic Panic stuff?

In Ontario, Shoppers Drug Mart usually has them in the hairstyle products aisle. They're readily available anywhere where hair products are sold, unlike the salon versions of these hair dyes.

Cheap Thrills. Shoppers had it, I'm not sure if they have it anymore.

New place? New list? Pimp it out to me, yo? trisha@sequentialtart.com (mailto:trisha@sequentialtart.com)

augh, I'm with you on the red. I got streaks put in professionally and they were supposed to be all shiny red and they are NOT. I am bitter.

dude, I saw the hair dying kit you got Lt, for her hair experiment, that's not the kit *you* need, though it will do for choo. The red one you need is by Loreal and it says "Chunking Kit" on the box! It's on sale at Stupidstore i think for like 10 bucks! thought you should know, cause that stuff works awesome!

I've found the only way to make red haircolour stick at all is to first dye the sections blond, then dye them with a lighter red colour, then dye them again with a darker red, to deepen the colour (or you can also do dark first and then bright, depending on how you want them to fade). All of which is costly and annoying, but it works better.
