So! The power went out last night, and the Wee Sister and I had to haul out the candles this morning. It felt like we were back in Trinidad again, where the blackouts were plentiful. Fortunately, the hot water didn't give out. I just hope the power's back on when we get home this evening, after dinner and karaoke with the Vancouver Posse.

Oh, and the crazed thicket in my icon? That's my hair. I wanted those streaks to be a brighter red, but the initial bleach didn't strip enough color out. Arrrrgh. Anyhow, the icon goes well with the Lance-hair icon, so, yeah.

Iiiiiinteresting. I wouldn't object to being part of a painting. It's nothing like how fascinating Lance's hair is, though. Thank you so much for the icon--I'm slightly obsessed with it and other people keep commenting on it. Whoo-hoo!

Do you want to know what's funny? I SAW the power go out. Richmond suddenly went BLACK and 20 minutes later, all these Hydro trucks went screaming up Knight Street there were cops and firetrucks and I said "gee, I hope the girls have candles". It was cool. Not as cool as escalators, but cool nonetheless :D

That must've been so trippy, seeing everything go black! It's a good things I have candles of every color stockpiled from my pagan-ish high school days. No vanilla candles, though. Justin would be disappointed.
