Man, kamikaze shots are good. I'm glad to know this. Interspersed with liberal amounts of rum and coke, they can help you get through pretty much any social function involving thong-wearing hoochies, frat boys, and a dj who went to school with the Wee Sister and whom the discovery of sent her into apoplectic fits. Plus, I think I saw a guy putting roofies in his own drink.

But hey, I got the remastered DVD of A Hard Day's Night and picked up Mr. Jt's album for ten bucks at my local Future shop, so things are still good. Plus, three-day weekend. What's not to enjoy?

Incidentally, I've been destroying poppies at an alarming rate this year. I've lost two and shredded one accidentally. Fortunately, those people with the donation-boxes are around a lot, and they sell them at liqor stores, so I have one again. For how long, though, is anybody's guess.

Well, I think it's all a conspiracy. They make them so they can never stay properly on your coat etc. So by the end of the day you lose the one you have and you have to go buy another. Conspiracy, I tells ya.

They're for Remembrance Day (I think it's Veteran's Day or Memorial Day or something in the States), to honor those lost in war.

I believe the poppies were chosen because of the symbolism in the poem "Flanders Field", but I can't remember who wrote it!
